TOPIC: \u201cThe Role of ANTRIM in the Development of Tourism in Moldova and Strategic Cooperation for Tourism Development in Moldova 2030, in the Context of EU Accession<\/i>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elena Stepanov, Executive Director of ANTRIM (National Association for Incoming and Domestic Tourism), shared, during the \u201cTourism Panel,\u201d the vision and achievements of the association in promoting and developing tourism in the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n

Tourist Routes for an Authentic Experience<\/b><\/p>\n

Between 2018-2022, ANTRIM collaborated with its partners to launch over 30 tourist routes, available on the Moldova Travel platform. These diverse routes offer unique opportunities to explore Moldova\u2019s natural and cultural wealth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Central Moldova Hiking Route \u2013 from Nisporeni to B\u0103l\u0103ne\u0219ti Hill is a perfect example of how we can leverage the natural beauty of the region,\u201d<\/i> stated the Executive Director of ANTRIM.<\/p>\n

Training for Tourism Professionals<\/b><\/p>\n

To support the improvement of service quality in tourism, ANTRIM organized various training sessions. The Moldova Tourism Start Up Academy and Next Tourism Generation Academy were essential initiatives in this regard. These programs involved hundreds of participants and addressed various areas, from visitor management in museum settings to the use of new technologies.<\/p>\n

\u201cEducation is one of the most powerful tools for Moldova\u2019s development. We hope for a positive impact on the quality of services provided,\u201d<\/i> emphasized Elena Stepanov.<\/p>\n

Lobbying and Advocacy for Sustainable Tourism<\/b><\/p>\n

ANTRIM, an active member of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, has significantly contributed to the development of tourism-friendly policies. From creating the Guide with recommendations for health protocols in the context of COVID-19 to supporting initiatives from the Ministry of Culture, ANTRIM has been an essential player in promoting a sustainable and efficient business environment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have made a major contribution to the process of formulating and adjusting funding activities for the development of small and medium enterprises in tourism,\u201d<\/i> noted Stepanov.<\/p>\n

The Bridge Program and Cross-Border Projects<\/b><\/p>\n

The Bridge Program facilitated participation in international events and provided support for the creative sectors and tourism. The cross-border project HERIPRENEURSHIP connected tourism and culture companies in the Black Sea region to create innovative tourism products.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the support of the European Union, we have created investment opportunities and sustainable partnerships around UNESCO sites,\u201d<\/i> explained Elena Stepanov.<\/p>\n

Tourist Information Center \u2013 a Success Story<\/b><\/p>\n

In 2017, ANTRIM opened the first Tourist Information Center in Chi\u0219in\u0103u, becoming a model for other regional centers. This project, realized with the support of the European Union, USAID, and the Government of Sweden, offers comprehensive information services for visitors.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission is to become a reference point in the national tourism industry and to connect regional networks,\u201d<\/i> stated the Executive Director of ANTRIM.<\/p>\n

#FriendshipForTourism Grant Program<\/b><\/p>\n

The partnership with Efes Moldova has brought significant benefits to the tourism industry through the grant program, which has supported 24 beneficiaries in five editions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis program leverages existing potential and improves tourism facilities, diversifying the activities offered to tourists,\u201d<\/i> continued the Executive Director of ANTRIM.<\/p>\n

Benefits for ANTRIM Members<\/b><\/p>\n

ANTRIM members enjoy multiple advantages, from access to external funding and dialogue with authorities to educational and cultural programs. ANTRIM supports and represents the interests of its members, facilitating the development of a business network and growth opportunities.<\/p>\n
